Nap help

My 19 month old twins are great sleepers at night 6:45-6ish. They dropped their second nap around 1 years old.

They usually do a 10-12 nap.

It's been more like 10-11:20 the past week or so.

Now they're up there and it's only been less than an hour and they're crying.

Do I do CIO with a nap to make them stay in there the full 2 hours?? Do I just assume they're done with a long nap? They NEED the sleep because they're grumpy without it... It's a long stretch to go from 11:30-6:30 for them.

Help! :)

I was thinking alter also. My DS is 20M and he naps generally from 12-230ish.

If he goes down early then soemtime he takes a short nap late afternoon.

Re: Nap help

Yes my 22 month old goes down around 1 now that he is down to one nap. This means he stays up later 7:30/8 and then sleeps later in morning.

Thanks...
...they get cranky and rub their eyes around 10-10:30...

I can't imagine how I'd get them to stay up another 2 hours!

i'll try though...

Nap help

I would also try putting them down a bit later. I got my 18 month old to start napping after lunch instead of 10:30am by pushing it back by 15 minute intervals over time. It took a few weeks but she now naps at 1:30-3 or 3:30 (wakes up 7:30-8am, bedtime 7pm)
