My thread got pulled????????????? Let's try this again!
i created a thread introducing my new dog i just adopted from the shelter and i went back to add pics and it has been deleted.
did i miss something?
ETA:
Meet Dixie.
i went to the local shelter to do volunteer work (walking of the dogs) and everytime i passed this girl cage she wold jump up and wag her tail. and was kissing my hand through the holes. no matter where i walked in the shelter she stared at me. i ended up walking her and by the time i got back there was no decision to make. she was coming home with me.
i had slightly considered adopting, but didnt put that much thought into it. its just i am moving into my own apartment soon and dont feel comfortable walking around the city at night, although my neighborhood is pretty safe its still a concern of mine.
i took dixie to meet my other dogs and they all got along great. Lukin was actally staying with me and i went to the shelter, so they met first and got along fmously.
then i took her to kevins to meet Dharma and Tinky. tink is my main concern. all fine there too.
Dharma is alittle wary at first with all dogs then comes around. same with dixie. dharma was like 'just dont touch me'.
since ill ultimatly have dharma and dixie together at my new place that is great they are getting along.
i also got her for Dharmie becuase when i have her all alone i feel like she gets lonely. and theres no separating Lukin and Tinky. so in the end i think kevin will end p fighting for them :(
although for right now were pretty good with sharing them, but they prefer it over his apt, my apt is like a shack and they get lonely all by themselves, theyre so used to being around other dogs.
i dont know Dixies story yet but ill try to find it out today when i go to tell them i DEF want to adopt her.
shes such a sweetheart.

She almost looks like she has my dog's ears..which is a Bull Terrier.

how did i not know you had one? i thought you had a boston for some reason
she obv doesnt have the slope nose, but im wondering if she has bull terrier in her. the other night ALOT of ppl were calling her Spud McKenzie actually.

yep..I have bull Terrier....many people call him Spudz all the time
He is a GREAT dog...especially with my boys. She doesnt have that long of a nose, but those ears look like it.....

You did....I questioned you getting another dog after what has happened in your life recently and the fact that you don't have an apartment just yet and apparently it turned into quite a fiesta - I also missed most of it.
And...as I said in your first thread - I like you and think you have good intentions -but is it the smartest thing to take on another dog right now?
ETA: Although I have to say - it sounds like you are making the effort and I hope it all works out for you...she is a beautiful dog.

kevin has the other 3 right now, i have zero. i wanted a bigger dog for "protection" (basically a deterant from mugging, dont want an actual attack dog) for walking around at night, and being alone in an empty apartment for that matter.
i will eventually get dharma back-- full coustody style, soon, so this way she will have a playmate as well.
eve if i had the three little ones and Dixie, i could handle it. i love my dogs. 4 dogs isnt that big of a deal to me.
i put the before me anyway, so they have nothing to worry about. if they need food and for unknown reason im broke, i shall eat top ramen, no biggie. although, thats not a problem.

I don't know if someone else directly called you a collector, I am guessing there was a lot of activity after I was off-line, but in my post on the thread that got pulled I said I had a friend who was a collector that had to re-home all her animals because she had to move and then re-acquired animals but still didn't have a stable living situation and wound up having to re-home them again & I hoped that wouldn't happen... or something to that effect, I honestly have no idea exactly what I wrote, but I most definitely did not call you a collector.
You are always very open about talking about what's going on in your life so I was curious what your situation was and I am happy to hear you'll have your own apartment and hopefully be able to get your dogs back from your ex.
Dixie is a beautiful dog – best of luck with her.

No one pointed a finger at anyone. To say that someone did that would take any potential debate up a notch and get another thread pulled.
Jess, there are a lot of people on this thread who have wished you well with your new pup, regardless of whether they agree with your choice. I hope you will show the same consideration next time someone else gets a pup. Enjoy your new dog!!!

Wow she's a big dog!! Welcome to larger pup ownership, lol. I always picture you with tiny dogs. She looks very sweet and I know how much your dogs mean to you.
People who don't know you and had no idea why others were concerned for you and your situation are the ones that made that post nasty. There were no ill feelings towards you at all.

Thanks all, im in love with this girly.
im going to take Dharma back very soon, i just want Dixie to acclimate with her new parent(s) and home before bringing dharma in as well.
dixie and dharma have met and were fine, but i just want to wait a minute before having the two in the same apartment.
i have some training to do with Dixie first and foremost.
in the meantime dharmie is totally fine with kevin and Luk & Tink
