My second IVF- Sono update!!!
Hey all, had my egg retrieval yesterday for my second fresh cycle. 8 eggs retrieved, 6 mature, 4 fertilized w ICSI. I'm nervous and worried with only 4. My DS from my first cycle was 1 out of 13 embryos!
I'm guessing ill def be a day 3, which is Monday. DS was a day 5.
Please send some prayers my way for the embies and a successful transfer. Thanks!!
11/28 Update:
So I'm on my way into the city for my transfer and I get a call from my RE that I'm being pushed to day 5!! I was like are you kidding me? I told the nurse I only have 4 and I'm not sure I want to take that risk. I asked to talk to the dr and she was like I've never had this happen before but let me see if I can get him. She spoke with him and he said that's fine I can do it today. ***? I just feel like I could lose them all or maybe some of the embies are not strong enough for day 5 but would do better in me. I lost 6 out of 13 going to blast last time and only one blast resulted in a pregnancy.
Do you think I'm doing the right thing transfering today? FYI-I'm 32.
11/28 Update:
Transfer done! We transfered 2 beautiful 8 celled embryos. All 4 embryos were 8 cells today but one looked better than all and 2 others were almost identical so they just randomly picked one of them for my second. My RE was very confident we would be pregnant with the best one if not twins, I was like don't get my hopes up! We're growing the other 2 to day 5 and will then freeze. So glad my embies are back on the motherrship! Beta is next friday- ahhh!!!
12/1 Update:
Dr. just called to tell me only one embryo made it to blast and it was a D grade so it won't make it through the freeze process 
Hopefully this just means that I have the best 2 in me! Please let this be true. I'm sad today 
12/9 Update:
I took a HPT on Wed (12dpo) and it was a BFP! I couldn't believe how dark the line was, with my son it was super light at 12 days. Here's a pic:
Had my beta this morning at 14dpo (or 11dp3dt) and I'm prego!!! The nurse said, congrats your very pregnant. Beta was 270 
Thank you all so much for your prayers and well wishes, it really helped. Next Beta is Monday. Ahhhh, please let this all work out!!
12/12/ Update:
Went for my second Beta yesterday at 16dpo (or 13dp3dt) and it was 443. So it went up but did not double. The nurse said it was a good rise and did not seem concerned. But now I'm worried again.
Next Tuesday is the sono so praying so hard this all works out 
12/20 Update:
Went for my sono this morning and it was very good- we have 2 lil nuggets in there!!!!! Saw the yolk sacs and both seem to be doing well.
I can't believe it, I'm still in shock but so so happy!! Please God let them both keep growing!!
My beta was great- 11,605

That's actually similar stats to what I had for my first IVF. We had 9 eggs, 6 mature, 4 fertilized, and we transferred 3 on day 3. The one that was left didn't make it to freeze.
From that cycle, I got pregnant with triplets, but it was from two embryos (one split).
Remember, it's QUALITY not QUANTITY that's most important!!!!!!!!!! I'll be for you that this cycle works!!!!!!!

Stay positive. . . my last IVF cycle I had none left to freeze either and after we transferred the 2 best embies I am now 32 weeks PG with a singleton.
