my neighbor's dog died
He was a 9 yr old german shepherd. It had arthritis and fell down a flight of stairs.  I guess the injuries were too severe and it had to be put to sleep. I feel so bad for my neighbor. Is it weird I want to get him a card?

That's so sad! I dont' think getting him a card is weird at all, I think it's very thoughtful.
A coworker got me one when my dog passed a while back and I thought it was so nice of her.

No. They have "loss of a pet" cards in the stores. When my boy passed I received a lot of them.

well I got the card and still didn't get around to bringing it over. I ran into my neighbor on Saturday and he was pulling in to his driveway. I was giving him my condolences when his nephew shows me they got a NEW PUPPY. 
I'm so happy he is trying to bounce back so soon.

Oh That is so sad!
I think Target has pet sympathy cards. People sent me cards when my cat passed suddenly in April. I thought it was really sweet and it made me feel better, knowing that other people cared enough to send them.

I am so sorry to hear about your neighbor's dog. No it isn't weird to get a card. We actually got one for my DH's co worker and they really appreciated it.

I think that would be nice. I got a coworker an Edible Arrangement when his dog died, so I definitely don't think a card would be weird!
