My little man had a bad day
I noticed that his penis was really red back when I was away in Savannah about a month ago. I remembered that one of my friends sons had the same thing - she told me her ped said to put Bacitracian (sp) on it. It went away.
Fast forward to two days ago - his penis is really red again - I put Bacitracian on it - redness goes away but I then notice two little whiteheads.
I brought him to the ped today and apparently dirt was getting under the foreskin. I wasn't pulling it back far enough. 
He had to give him a numbing agent and pull it all the way back. It was really red and a little bloody and Jack was hysterical.
It was awful. He's def. still in pain tonight bc during his bath he was crying.
I should have been pulling it back more - but honestly - I had no idea. I told my ped that I do not have a penis therefore I have no idea how to care for it. 
I hope he's better tomorrow - and now I really have to clean it good!

Aww, poor Jack. I told my ped. the exact same thing two months ago. Who knew? Until it was all red and irritated. To this day Matthew still screams every single time I wash it and put bacetracin on it. I feel so bad for the little boys

We actually went through this a few weeks ago (and I said the same thing to our Ped ). We kept putting Bacitracin on it and it was fine in a few days, but now we make sure we always pull back and put something. I don't want to go through THAT again.

We went through the same thing for the 1st 3 well visits. They kept having to pull back the foreskin because it was adhering to the top and I was pulling it back like they told me but I guess not enough. They didn't use any numbing agent. It was horrible. I gave him tylenol and he was fine. Good luck

I went through the same thing with my son when he was little It was terrible when they had to pull it back, even with the numbing, it was still horrible  It healed fine after that though

You did all you knew how! DS has been dealing with stuff like that too and I don't have a clue what I'm doing.

This never happened with Robbie - so when it happened with my Noah (my youngest) I was really freaked out. But it went away and now he is a pro at cleaning himself!
