My kitchen renovation (still in progress)
We started our kitchen renovation on Monday. It's going so quickly and so smoothly, I can hardly even believe it.
We're using Gamco for everything and they've been amazing so far. They show up on time, clean up after themselves and are really very nice. And their prices are very reasonable! We gave Gordon (the owner) a price range and he came in with an estimate at the low end featuring everything we were looking to do.
I would highly recommend them to anyone doing a home renovation project!!

Looks great, nothing like a brand new kitchen!!!
Did you keep those old cabinets (or sell them)? They were actually pretty cool and seemed to be in great shape!

I also liked the original kitchen! But it had some issues that needed to be fixed!
The dishwasher was recalled and needed to be replaced or it could set the house on fire.
The stovetop was TINY and only 2 of the burners ever actually worked at the same time, and sometimes none of them worked.
The oven was adorable....but tiny and the temperature was inaccurate.
We had no room for a microwave in there, so it had to stay in the dining room, and we had very little counter space.
So we decided to start from scratch!

They're expecting we should be able to use the kitchen by Tuesday or Wednesday next week! They're going to put in a plywood temporary countertop while we wait for the granite to arrive, put a new door in, and install the sink and the stove! I can't wait! I'm getting a little sick of washing dishes in the bathroom sink....
