It's the inconvenience of it. my husband is a real PITA when it comes to perfection. we could have gotten away with just thinsetting the floor, rather than re-mudding it, we could have skimcoated all of the sheetrock, but we replaced. that kind of stuff.. that took extra time.

i can't wait to not have to clean my dishes in the bathroom sink anymore.

coming today to measure for countertop. hopefully, i will have them soon!!!

I went with Alabaster Glazed on www.belowwholesalecabinets.com

they are simple. my mother cautioned me about cleaning cabinets (i have two small kids) that have a lot of detail, so i steered clear from that.

i love them! they are perfect.

the tile was the cheapest tile i found. get this. 1.07 per tile.. copaigue home depot was the only one that i found that carried it.

Re: progress of kitchen

It looks awesome Rachel. Love it. Can't wait to see it finished. So are you going to do a shade and valance for the window. I think a bamboo roman shade would look really nice. It would go well with your floors. What color are your counters going to be? The bamboo shade would give a nice texture and dimension to the room. Nice warm feeling.

Def. just one. And if you don't want a valance and just a bamboo roman shade, then just one that is outside mount.

What color are your countertops going to be?
