My heart is breaking - going back to work
I am supposed to go back to work tomorrow. DS is 12 weeks. I had an extra month with DS1 but even so, I didn't expect it to be this hard.
I know he'll be in good hands but I just don't want to miss all his smiles and giggles.
I was feeling kind of ok about it until I got an annoying passive/aggressive email from my boss yesterday - I think he is very poor at communication and never thinks about how his notes are worded - but I think it just pushed me over the edge and now all I want to do is curl up with my baby and hold him and cry.
I have no idea how I'm going to get it all together tomorrow, no idea how long anything is going to take or how I'm going to pump at work. Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!
If you've read this, thank you. I think I just needed to vent.

I hear u. It sucks. I hate it every day when I walk out that door but I have no choice financially. Just know your dc is fine it's just us with our mommy guilt!

I go back on Nov 1st. I feel your heartbreak and I am right there with you. I know from DS that within a month, everything is ok and I am already in my "new normal" mode, but for right now, I am sad thinking about leaving DD. We have so much fun every day together. Good luck! I hope it's not as bad as you think.

I know it's hard! I go back November 25th and I'm debating if I should or not. With my older DC my dad watched them but as he is now much older I'm not comfortable doing that.

I remember the feeling well. You'll get through it - I hope the day flies by. Working moms are some of the strongest people I've ever known.

I had a really hard time in the days leading up to my return to work, but I found that the anticipation of it was actually worse than being back. After a short time we established a new normal and though my DD will always be the center of my universe, I appreciate having a balance in my life.
I hope your first day back isn't as bad as you fear.

Thank you soooo much!!
Your words have, surprisingly to me since I've been through this before and did know what you were saying to be true already, really helped. At the moment I actually don't feel the black cloud as heavy. 
As I said, I know DS will be fine - although I just can't believe he will give as many smiles to a stranger. He's such a happy baby usually and I just don't want him to lose that.
