my DD is potty training herself, need help with next step.

I never wanted to push her on potty training and for months she has shown interest but with 2 trips we had in the last few months I put it off.

But within the last 2 weeks she has asked to use the potty for pooping and it's been everyday now for the past week (this of course started while on vacation )

So I am so excited that she's taken it upon herself, so now what's the next step in getting her to pee only in the potty?

Just ask her! Or put her in underwear and take her every 20 mins - that didn't work for us but I know it works most of the time (DS just decided overnight he was ready and that was it for us!)

we used to do underwear under a diaper (yup, under! ) when we'd go out...its a LOT easier on you and same sensatio for her! good luck, it sounds like she's on her way!!

oh, I like the underwear under the diaper. Does that really feel the same to them?

I really hate the idea of accidents on couch or rug in her playroom
