So what would be the next step in potty training?

DS will ask me at least once up to 3 times a day to go on the potty. Sometime he pee's and sometimes he doesn't but he tries . I want to encourage this but I really don't know what to do next. I was thinking of rolling up the area rug and just putting underwear on him and seeing what happens. I actually had a package in my hand and DH asked me what they were. So I told him and he said DS didn't need them until he was trained .

Any tips?? I don't know why but I am so anxious about this. I guess this really means he is growing up

I would keep him in underwear, we did this with Julia and it helped her a lot, she knew she couldn't go in her undies and would run right to the bathroom when she had to go.
