My Birth Story w/Pics!
Well, I was scheduled for a c-section on October 3rd for a history of back problems but had been 100% effaced and 2-cm. dilated since 9/17. I called the doc on Wednesday, the 26th, to beg for them to do something about my back pain because I just figured with her getting bigger that I couldn't cope anymore. By the evening, my doc promised me some medication and told me to come to the office. By the time they got me in a room, my stomach was upset, I was weak and dizzy and I started feeling "strange". That's the best way I could describe it. My doc, of course, laughed at my description. Sure enough, I was 4-cm. and contracting quite a bit! Who knew! I didn't know I was having back labor! My water never broke, no bleeding, etc. My very pale DH rushed me to the hospital and got me ready for surgery. By that time, contractions were very close together and very painful, now felt in my front as well. Unfortunately, they had to do my surgery under general anesthesia (not so great for me or DH) so he had to sit outside and wait....and wait....poor thing. I eventually heard the sweetest little wimpers in my ear which I later found out was my DH putting my daughter to my ear and finally held her about an hour and a half later (when I could actually remember something  )
We are adjusting well with a few little setbacks with feeding and jaundice but she is doing great! To all the expecting Mom's, nothing can prepare you for the love you are going to feel, it's the best feeling in the world!!!!!!!!
