My birth story
The morning of my due date, my water broke so we headed to the hospital. When I got to the hospital at 9:30 a.m. they confirmed that my water broke, but I was only 1 cm dilated and having contractions every 8 -12 minutes (which I had no clue I was even having). They started me on pictocin at 12:30 p.m. and by 6:30 p.m. I was only 3 cm dilated. My contractions became more painful so I asked for an epidural. For some reason, the epidural didn't work the first time so I had to get a second epidural. After that, I was in heaven!
By 11:40 p.m. I was fully dilated and ready to push and on 1/30 at 12:19 a.m. we had our beautiful baby girl, Sophie. She weighed 6 pounds 11 ounces. Labor (w/medication) was not tough, but I did have 3rd degree tearing and tearing on the inside. Thanks for all of your advice, and good luck to all the mommies to be!
