My beautiful Kitty...updated in first post
Is in the kitty hospital tonight, she has lost half of her body weight and the vet thinks she is insulin dependant diabetic. She was in a bad state when I took her in tonight.
I hope she gets all better soon!!!
update:
We went in to see the vet tonight and her tests weren't getting better, so we made the decision to have her put to sleep, when we went in to see her she was really halfway there, so we just helped her along the way. My husband and I are completely devastated as she was such a lovely and beautiful kitty, and our other cat Cornelius is looking around for Suki. So I type through my tears with some photos of my gorgeous girl. I will really miss her. We didn't stay with her while she died, it seemed undignified, and we have asked the vet to dispose of her body. I am just beyond devastated. I already miss her furry face. Thanks to everyone for your support.

Thanks, she was fine this weekend, was eating, playing outside, wanting affection. But last time we took her to the vet she weighed 14 lbs, that was in August, and when I took her in last night she weighed below 8 lbs. She was in a bit of shock, and the vet said that her kidneys were on their way to shutting down.
Hopefully she will be fine! Thanks everyone!

Awww...hopefully she stays okay.
Are you giving her insulin? One of my mom's cats has diabetes and they give him insulin shots daily...he was diagnosed at 6 and is now 12.

Thanks everyone, I have just spoken to the vet and he has told me that she is having acute renal failure, she has been mildly diabetic for probably about 2 months now, she seemed to be doing really well, she lost weight on the special weight loss food and I thought she was just getting thinner because of the food. She also has been wee-ing a lot, but she was prone to having UTI’s and she has always been one of those cats that runs to the litter box when she gets nervous. They have told me that she has brightened up today, and she is drinking water, but not eating yet. So hopefully if they can get her to eat, they can start on the road to getting her kidneys to work correctly, if they can’t get her kidneys back on track, the outlook is quite bleak. I am really upset and feel like its partly my fault, as I noticed she was getting thinner, but didn’t really think anything of it. Also, this weekend, up until Sunday, she was quite happy, walking around quacking, going outside, asking for attention. I can’t remember if she ate though…
Well anyway, I am not a praying type, but keep my beautiful Suki in your thoughts tonight! We don’t want to lose her!

I hope she recovers! I have found cats to be remarkably resilient - I will hope she comes through for you! Try not to blame yourself – unfortunately they’re not kids where they can say “Hey, I’m not feeling too great…’ so it is really hard to tell sometimes when they’re not well
