My BBT chart
I can't get the image to post, but for the past 3 days my temp has charted at 97.7 and today there was a slight "spike" towards 97.8 on the graph (actual temp was 97.77). Is this correct? I'm charting using Fertility Friend.
On CD 4 my temp was around 97.3 with CD 5 charting a little higher than 98.1 but has come back down since. My cervical mucus has been sticky.
This is my first month temping so I'm not sure if this is normal or what.
Any help/advice would be great. Thanks!

My BBT chart
This was my first month temping and it was very helpful. From shortly after AF my temps were between 97.1 and 97.5 (one day I think it was slightly higher-like 97.6), but mostly around 97.3. On CD 10 at night I got an almost positive OPK. There had been basically no line at all before then, and that night the test line was almost as dark as the control line. The next morning (CD 11), OPK was clearly positive, and started fading by they night. On Saturday, my temp spiked to 98, which was about .5 degrees higher than any other temp I had. Since then, it went up even more, mostly staying around 98.3, with one day where it was 98.6. Between the temps and the OPKs I was pretty confident I O'd on CD11. I think the spike is generally very noticeable--like half a degree above what you are usually at. Good luck!

Re: My BBT chart
Your temps will go all over the place. The only real way to tell is if your chart shows a "biphasic" pattern. Basically a rise of approx 0.2-0.5 degrees and then a sustained shift from there. That confirms that you ovulated. Otherwise your temps will most likely differ slightly daily. Are you using OPKs too or just temping?

I am reading Taking Charge of your Fertility, so today CD10, I began using the CVS brand OPK. When I get a positive on that, I have the CBE OPK to confirm, testing 2x a day.
I checked my thermometer before I left the house this morning and it said 97.70 when I clearly remember it saying 97.77 when I took it this morning. I think I messed up my chart point for yesterday due to the same reason and now I can't remember what the temp was.
This is so confusing!! I'm ready to give up but I want to know I'm ovulating or not.

Re: My BBT chart
You won't really know much from a chart until you do a good month of it and then you can tell a lot. Three days of sustained high temperature after O are needed before FF will tell you about your O!
Probably what happened with your thermometer is it reset. Both of the ones I had go back to 97.70 when they reset. IDK if that is the case with yours but it seems likely so your first temp would be good. My first thermometer reset so easily that if I pressed it and slipped the next time it went back to 97.70 and I missed a few. My second one is better and usually keeps the last temp until you take another one. .

You were right! I went back and looked at my thermometer every night since I posted my original post and every night it says 97.70, which means it is resetting itself. Makes me feel 1,000x better!! Thanks!!
