my afternoon/evening in L&D...
I'm home now, we're fine. Staff at LIJ was great - all very nice. I went for a regularly scheduled dr. appt where i was hooked up to the monitor (NST, routine for GD patients) and it turns out i was contracting every 2-3 minutes (and had no idea). So they sent me to hospital to be evaluated. I was there for about 4 1/2 hours, all tests negative, cervix still long and closed, so there was no reason to keep me there. The IV fluids decreased the intensity and frequency of the contractoins but they're still there (allegedly, since i still don't feel them lol). I have to follow up at dr. on thurs or fri.
on another note i heard a woman coming in that was already 5 cm and progressing quickly. turned out there was no time for an epidural and man did her screaming scare the crap out of me!!! hearing the little baby crying a very short time later though - -

omg!  it's good in a way they act on you quickly and don't take any chances.
and yeah, when I was in L&D a few weeks ago I heard some sounds, luckily the room I was in had a TV so I was able to drain most of it out. From my understanding she went natural.

It's good to hear that you are home and doing ok I had the same thing happen to me twice, only I felt the contractions.

Thank god you are ok but for the other lady...5cm and no time for epi? That's plenty of time and I would have been screaming for them to get me one. lol
