DH transferred to a different job within the company he works for, and it required us to move to NY. We had two weeks.

We found an apt on Craigslist. We researched the area and decided it was good for us - great school district, low crime rate, easy commute, etc.

The company paid for the movers. The truck came and hauled our stuff to the new apartment and DH drove his car to NY.

I had started contacting companies and headhunters when we found out we were moving. I moved with no job but found one quickly since I had done a lot of legwork beforehand.
