More bad news...

So the clomid has officially stopped working. I ovulated twice and the past two months I am at a standstill. I took 150mgs and all my follies were around 10mm.

I am so discouraged and upset.

They gave me the name of two RE's for IVF consults since it doesnt look like I can move forward with the IUIs.

The two they gave me were

Dr San Roman and Dr Pena

Any advice?

I live in Eastern suffolk and am a teacher so I need pretty open office hours and such.

Re: More bad news...

I saw Dr. Kenigsberg. I REALLY liked him, but only had diagnostic testing done by him. I got pregnant before having to start IUI/IVF. All of the nurses and staff were great, and they have early hours too. If I have any problems inthe future I will definitely be going back there. HTH!Chat Icon

Re: More bad news...

I see Dr. Kenigsberg and honestly thought he was great before I got my BFP....now of course, I love him.

Plus - the hours for LI-IVF are convenient...they open at 6:30 in the morning for all bloodwork and sono.

I don't know much about Dr. Pena and which office he is affiliated with...but I highly suggest you stay away from SanRoman and RSNY.

Dr. Brenner at LI IVF was excellent as well! I was pleased with my plan of action, and even happier since it worked!

I'm sorry to hear that Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon . I love my RE but it doesn't sound like the office would be convenient for you location-wise.

Have you thought about injectibles or are you going to go straight to IVF?

We have some MF so I think depending on the drs suggestions IVF will be the way to go with all of our issues

LI IVF is great. Great hours. Great doctors. I'd see Brenner or Kenigsberg (so far I've been to both).

Best of luck to you. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Most RE's won't start you through the holidays, they generally have a hold on IVF's until after the New Year.

Re: More bad news...

Ok I called back and they were able to give me an appointment a week earlier on Dec 26.

I guess it is probably better to start all this with the new year anyway.

Now.. the question is should I take provera and start a period or just wait it out and see what they want me to do on Dec 26?

Hold off on it, see what they say at your appointment.

I have heard wonderful things about San Roman from other people who have used them and Pena from East Coast I have seen a few times and seems good too but I use Dr Zapantis from there and he is wonderful very attentive and doesn't brush you off when you have questions and it is very easy to get in touch with them though email I can email them anytime and get a response very quikly which is very important to me where as other offices you have to leave a message and maybe they get back to you that day but I have been going to ECF for 2 years now and they have definately gone above and beyond for me and i would highly recommend them the only problem that I have is that I too live in eastern suffolk and sometimes have to travel to Plainview but there are also offices in Mt sinia and patchogue that are convienent but to see Dr Z i have to go to plainview which is really for retrieval and transfer but otherwise i go to the other offices and see a NP plus the NP's do the IUI in the other offices i hope this helps

Re: More bad news...

Dr san romans practice was a horribel experience for me. The thing is you RARELY see him and the practice is run by the nurses and techs. The techs do sono's not the nurses or Dr's themselved and they had me doing treatments before proper testing was done.

I was there for about 11 months and I would never reccomend them to anyone.

Good luck. Im sorry about your news.

I hope you can find a good place that you feel comfortable at.

I went to NSUH ( dr. Chu) after Dr. San roman and RSONY and I was very happy.

Same here. I have seen a doctor everytime I have been in the office. I started seeing San Roman, but went to Dr Cain for my IVF consult because she had an earlier appt and she is great too. The only time I have waited was when I had a late appt. on a Saturday. They opan at 6:30 on most days and have you in and out. Good luck with whoever you decide to see- it looks like you will be a good candidate for IVF Chat Icon
