Moms with newborns - anyone else moody as H E L L?

Honestly - i can't stand myself these days. DS is 7 weeks old and I am so moody!

I'm fine one minute and biting the head off of DH the next - I kind of feel bad for him. I also cry at the drop of the hat - WHEN are these hormones going to level out????

becareful with that!!! I was like that and actually at one point in target told DH i hated him. The look in his eyes still haunts me.! Try and take it easy. That is the best advice I can give. Let DH take DC for a little and go get a mani/pedi, or something that will relax you.

We're all hormonal right after birth and been through a lot. Totally normal to feel this way, but as the above poster said... get some time to yourself and let DH help. Got get a mani/pedi. Plan a night out for dinner just the two of you in a week or so when you're ready and have a family member watch DC. It'll get better.Chat Icon Chat Icon

DS is over 4 months, and I still get like that. It's hormones, exhaustion, and sometimes getting pi$$ed off at DH.

it took like 4 months for my hormones to level off and I stopped crying at EVERYTHING. In hindsight, I probably had a touch of PPD though.

Re: Moms with newborns - anyone else moody as H E L L?

It was only recently (with the past couple of months) that DH told me it was nice to have "ME" back. That he had almost forgotten how I was prior to us starting to TTC. DD is now 9 months old, so I would say it was around the 6 month mark he said that.

My poor DH had such a double whammy because I was on fertilty meds for a long time before conceiving DD so those did a number on my hormones. Then my pregnancy hormones and then my post pregnancy hormones.

I was seriously a monster after having DD!

OMG YES!!!!! I have such a short fuse these days. I feel like every little thing is tugging at my last nerve. I feel so badly for DH - he is trying to make me see the humor in the situations. I wish my hormones would get back in check.

I feel that way too from the hormones and exhaustion. I am 9 weeks PP and I cry at the drop of a hat and have such a short fuse! I can't wait till it levels out Chat Icon

I'm definitely right there with ya. I hope it levels out soon. I'm tired of feeling crummy and crying over nothing.

Re: Moms with newborns - anyone else moody as H E L L?

I felt like that on and off for probably up to 8 or 9 months! When I had a more sane moment, I tried to remember to apologize and say something nice. Poor DH, I feel like as soon as I was back to myself, I was preggo all over and now I'm a raging
witch all over again! I told him to get used to it at least until next June Chat Icon
