With both DD's, I had the c-section on Sunday and went home on Thursday.

Same here. I think the standard is 4 nights. My OB said if I felt up to it, I could probably go home after 3 nights, but I had no help at home, so I stayed the extra night.

I had the section on Tuesday and went home on thursday. but i was in the hospital for two weeks before so i wanted out.

4 days, had the option to go home on day 3 but i chose to stay 
went in on Thursday am and went home on Monday am!

4 nights and they always give you the option to stay 3 but why take it!? stay and get the sleep and help that you need to recover!

I did the same. Was eligible to leave after 3 nights. I stayed the extra night. The nurses were bringing the baby to me to BF. The extra day did help me in the recovery. I felt MUCH better the day I left vs if it had be the previous day.

I would have stayed the four nights but I could not sleep even though I had a private room. The nurses kept interrupting my sleep, the fire alarm went off, the bed broke and wouldn't recline, etc.

I had 2 at Winthrop (last one was 4 yrs ago) and I stayed 4 nights with both.

I had DS on Wednesday night at 11:30pm. I could have left on Saturday morning, but I left on Sunday instead. I opted for the extra day since I wanted to get more rest and I knew people were coming to visit and I wanted them to come to the hospital, not my house.

i had the c section wednesday afternoon and i went home saturday. my doc said i could have went home friday but i wanted the girls to come home with me so i stayed. four days is usually the norm
