Re: Moms who work Full Time...

I only work in the city 3 days but on those days, I don't even get to see her in the morning. I leave before she gets up, and I barely get 2 hours with her at night before she goes to sleep. Thank goodness I work from home two days a week!!!!

I usually see her for about 1/2 -1 hour in the morning, and about 3 hours at night. Plus all weekend. I live for the weekends.

Wake Thomas at 6:45 a.m. and out the door by 7:15 a.m.

Spend 6 p.m. to 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. together.

All day on weekends.

I leave before they get up so about 4-5 hours. If they stay up until about 9, I squeeze the 5!

Same schedule in the morning
After picking him up at daycare, we usually get home b/w 6 and 6:30 and I spend all evening with him until he goes to be around 8:30 - 9.

ETA: What happened to the option of voting for "between 2 and 3 hours" ?!

I see DD 5-5.5 hours a day now and my commute is only 15 minutes.

I'm dreading our move into our new house. I'll be lucky to get 3-4 hours. I'm hoping I can work from home 2-3 days a week and that'll increase the time I see her by 3 hours a day.

Re: Moms who work Full Time...

I see Jacob for about an hour and a half in the mornings and then we spend time together for 3 hours after daycare/work...of course that includes the time we drive in the car to and from daycare but it still counts to me! I am with him all weekend. During the week is really hard...I wish that there was more time Chat Icon

45 minutes in the am and 2 hours in the evening

about the same (a little more if you count the 15 minutes in the car each way, but I don't really count that b/c I'm barely interacting with her.) Thats why I cherish the weekends and don't like to do much without her.

I see ds for an hour in the morning, at lunch time and then from 4-7pm at night before he goes to bed. It's hard, but i make the time count. Chat Icon

Plus my husband is home with him all day pretty much, so i don't feel as bad. Chat Icon

Re: Moms who work Full Time...

I am very fortunate to have a job where I work 4pm-12am. I get to spend about 9-10 hrs with DD all day!! DH gets home and gets to spend about 5-6 hrs with DD untill she goes to bed :) It's working wonderfully :)

1 hr in the morning and 1 hr at night.

But it's not real quality time. I am giving him his bottle and getting him and me ready in the morning and at night it's bath, bottle, books, bed.

That's not true Chat Icon bath and book time are major quality time in my eyes!

I do a few books with Ryan in the morning and at at night - nothing like having him climb on my lap to listen to a story Chat Icon

Re: Moms who work Full Time...

45 minutes in the AM and about 2 hours at night-if I am lucky. In the morning I am rushing around trying to get out the door, so I don't really count that. I hate it with a passion. I have been back at work almost 4 months and I despise it-everyday.

Re: Moms who work Full Time...

I did have a lot more time, but since DH got laid off, I need to pick up more cases in the evenings and do more evaluations on the weekends :( So, I won't really see him during the week :( It really sucks, but I have to do what I need to do to afford our house and things for him!

I see them for about 2 hours in the morning, really depends on when they get up and then 3 hours at night, depends on when they go to bed and then all weekend long.

That's exactly my schedule with DD. And if I work late I don't get the bath, bottle, bed part.

you're absolutely right. It IS quality time when I am giving him his bath and reading to him.

I guess what I meant to say was "playtime". he loves his nighttime routine!
