Dd will be 21 months when dd2 is born. She doesn't climb out yet so I'm leaving her in the crib. Dd2 will be in with us until she is 4 months old and when that time comes I'll see if I think dd is ready for a bed if not I'll buy another crib.

Older DS was 20mos when DS#2 arrived. We put DS#2 in a bassinette in our room, then borrowed another crib from a friend when he became too heavy/big for the bassinette.
We moved DS#1 to a twin-sized bed when he was almost 3 -- I liked knowing both boys were safe and secure in a crib, plus they both LOVEd the cribs.

DS#2 will be 28mos when #3 arrives next month. We were prepared to set up the spare crib but he had been asking to sleep in a big boy bed since he turned 2 and we embraced it -- we wanted him to have enough time out of the crib to not feel that the new baby "took" it from him, KWIM?
