Men vent
Today is day 11 so I should bd tonight but I don't even want to look at dh. Yesterday was my bday. I took the day off, got a maSage and totally just wanted to veg. ILs had sent me a nice card with a gc. I was very appreciative and called to say thank you they weren't home so I left a $essage saying thank you. To DH that wasn't acceptable and he got ****** off at me bc I didn't call them back when he told me to. I didn't call anyone who called me yesterday. It was my day and I said I would call them today. I just feel like he ruined my day for no reason and today he was acting like everything was fine and I told him not to talk to me. My bday and holidays are hard for me my parents have both passed and I'm very sensitive on those days and him starting with me just has me in a really bad mood.

He definitely should have given you your space. But if you do decide to BD tonight just think of it as a potential belated bday gift for you.

Leavin a message was totally fine. Its crazy to think you have to call everyone back on your b-day and thank them for calling you or sending a card. You left a message that fine. I know the feeling to be annoyed at DH and not want to BD. But let this one go and enjoy and BD time. happy B-Day

Aww, that stinks A message was more than acceptable, in my opinion.

I don't understand why leaving a message wasn't good enough for him? I think it was appropiate to leave the message and then when you see them again you could also Thank You! I think DH was way out of line!!!
