1. SD – Up to 4GB worth of images and video. 2. SDHC – Up to 32GB worth of images and video. 3. SDXC – (Currently) Up to 64GB worth of images and video.
4GB – 460 images (fine) and 226 images (raw) 8GB – 920 images (fine) and 452 images (raw) 16GB – 1,840 images (fine) and 904 images (raw) 32GB – 3,680 images (fine) and 1,808 images (raw) 64GB – 7,360 images (fine) and 3,616 images (raw)
4GB – 26min 40sec (.mov) 8GB – 53min 20sec (.mov) 16GB – 106min 40sec (.mov) 32GB – 213min 20sec (.mov) 64GB – 426min 40sec (.mov)
Go for class 6 or higher on the card - i see most use a class 10 so its a bit $$$

I just bought my camera this week and COULD NOT BELIEVE how CHEAP these cards have become!
I remember when we got our first digital camera they were very expensive and held not that many photos. I remember paying like $50 or $75 for something that held 200 photos and not as good quality.
anyway, showing my age - here's the answer to your q.
We got 2 - 8 GB for around $13 from B & H photo. We were thinking of getting 1 - 16 but it was about $30 and the salesperson made a good point, if you buy the 16 and it breaks for some reason, you are out while having 2 8's, you have a backup.
