Maybelline Great Lash Mascara
Is rated #1 in Allure mag, used amongst celebrities and most makeup artists but for me I think it sux 
Im not the best at makeup but I think it does nothing for my lashes and i dont have much so I need the volume and to pump them up.
Anyone else?

Someone here (ChathamChick, I think) once posted that it is good over other mascara, b/c it acts like hairspray & sets the curl, but doesn't do much on its own, so I' ve tried it like that, but it smudges a lot on me. Maybe b/c I didn't get the waterproof one.

 I HATE IT!!! within a matter of 5 seconds after aplpying it, my eyes started to burn. it's awful!!

i agree - it's way too liquidy for me, and so it weighs my lashes down rather than lifting them up
i do love maybelline full n soft

Ya, I agree, Its very watery. I use it as a spare........ b/c its better than nothing.
But I either use Lancome or Max Factor normally.

If you want a good mascara get Mac-pro long lash-I love it!!! I have tried so many and this is the only one that gives me long lashes.

Yep! That was me. 
I don't use Great Lash exclusively. I'm always trying out different mascaras, but as I stated, GL is really the only one that helps "set" my lashes and I always have a tube of it in my makeup case.
For those who have smudging problems, do you wipe the excess off the wand before you apply?
I've never had an issue with smudging with any mascara.

I have to laugh b/c as you posted, it doesn't get good reviews and yet Allure puts it as #1 every year.
On MakeupAlley, only 28% of those who used and reviewed it would buy it again. (there were over 1800 reviews.)

I think I do! Now I think I'm going to try it again tomorrow.
I have mascara issues in general. I tried Bad Lash too, and I looked like a crazy old lady that tried to out on false lashes, but couldn't see to well & made a mess.

I've tried sooooo many mascaras, and I'm ONLY 100% happy with L'oreal products...
I wear waterproof all the time because my constant allergies have my eyes watering all day long. Double extend is the absolute best. It was on sale for $4.99 at eckerd last week!

I am allergic to any Maybeline products, it's very attractive  . I swear by cover girl exact lash. I have tried everything and spent stupid money on mascara. CG is by far the best.

I love Maybelline mascara but I don't understand how the one in the "pink & green tube" gets voted as #1 by Allure year after year. Makes me question their other #1s

I don't understand the hype over it either. I have used it and don't care for it. I do love define-a-lash by maybelline though- its the one in the green tube, absolutely NO clumps.

same here! can't stand it...it gives me the wors raccoon eyes and does nothing for my lashes. i have short, sparse, blonde lashes and when i use great lash, they just stick together.gad, it's awful!
i really like mac mascara x and clinique drmatic something or other.
