maybe im overly sensitive

i posted yesterday about having a hard time gaining weight (accepting it, not a hard time doing it hahah) as well as a hard time talking to people since i think they will look at my stomach


today two people who know im PG ( im still on the dl... or think i am) said, oh, youre starting to show, and yeah youre gaining weight in your stomach a bunch now

now the second comment came from someone where english is the 2nd language and i know it wasnt intended meanly nor was the first but man hearing these things killed me.

i went to my car and cried on break.

maybe my emotions are raging but this stinks

I'm sure it's a combination of their insensitivity and your emotions.

There will always be someone to make you feel badly about yourself- find a good group to surround yourself with that makes you feel fabulous!!!

I didn't tell everyone at work until last week (I'm 17 weeks). Right before I told my own mother said "What are you waiting for?! Wouldn't you rather people know you're pregnant than have them think you're just getting fat?!"



ETA: I could use to lose a good 50+ lbs before I got pregnant- luckily, I haven't gained anything yet this time- but I never LOST anything from my last DC- so I feel fat as ever. I know how it feels.

An exciting part of being pregnant is that your belly grows. Im really dont think they were trying to hurt your feelings more so to let you know that you are starting to look like you are pregnant.

There are several people I work with who are pregnant now and someone is always saying something to us like "you really popped" "your belly got so round" etc its just that they are noticing the changes.

Dont let it bother you!

people don't know what they are saying half the time. they are just morons. try not to take it personally

just embrace the weight. Once you except it then it will be easier. The baby needs it. It will come off eventually and it will be fine.You will like it once you have a cute belly.

I totally understand what you are saying. Watching my tummy grow is difficult. I just keep thinking of the big picture and that makes it all worth it for me.
