maternity tour
DH and i just came back from our maternity ward tour at our hospital..wouldn't you know there were no babies in the nursery..none just born..or they were all in the recovery rooms with their mamas.
My hospital is Lower Bucks here in PA..i will say the nurses are so nice, there are 6 labor and delivery rooms, 17 private recovery rooms, everything is locked down and secure ..its pretty nice. Got some good information on what to do when i go into labor.
I cant imagine being in brooklyn and going to a hospital and getting service like that.
DH is relieved now that he knows where to go and what to do as soon as we get there ![Chat Icon](c/1.gif)

Re: maternity tour
We had ours today too! However, one woman was in L&D IN labor, so you could hear her doctor going "PUUUUUSH, 10, 9, ....." lol I was like THEN in the beginning of our tour the baby bell went off (it's sing a song throughout the whole hospital!!) and we then got to see the brand new baby getting all checked out...me and this other girl were in like complete tears but laughing at ourselves. It was SO exciting!
I loved the nurses at Huntington and the L&D rooms were AWESOME...the maternity floor was just normal, nothing special but the tour made everything so real....at least I felt that way...how about you?

Re: maternity tour
Ohh..it felt real alright.
it was calming to know how nice everyone is and that im in pretty good hands there. so that was very helpful.
i could very well be in for a csection b/c a) baby is measuring big..so this can be an issue for me.
b) my disc issues may not allow for an epidural which i posted about..so in that case if i know that ahead of time, i may have to opt for a c-section as well.
so i saw the c-section prep room, the surgery room, recovery area, etc.
we saw one baby in the NICU but he looked like he was getting better, out of the warmer and being fed..his parents were with him..
