Maternity leave
For those of you that work how long does your company allow for maternity leave? How long is fully paid and how long partially?

Are you referring to short term disability?
I am entitled to 19 weeks off but only 6 of them are fully paid, the rest we have to use any available vacation, sick time until it is exahusted at that point short term disability will kick in and then if that doesnt cover me long enough I will take the rest unpaid.

Re: Maternity leave
I get 6 weeks for V and 8 weeks for CS and my company pays 60% of my maternity leave. Then I em entitled to either 4 or 6 weeks unpaid under FMLA.

Re: Maternity leave
We're entitled to 12 weeks under FMLA. For the first 6, we get disability pay, the 2nd 6 is unpaid. However, if we choose to use up any/all of our sick/personal days, they get used up immediately as part of the first 6 weeks, and then it switches over to disability pay. So, when I had my first DC, I used 2 weeks personal/sick time. So I had 2 weeks regular pay, 4 weeks disability, and 6 weeks unpaid.

Re: Maternity leave
We get 6 weeks unpaid so I'd have to claim for disability. I'm hoping to save vacation time so at least some is paid.

Re: Maternity leave
i believe it is 6 weeks if you have a regular delivery, and 8 weeks for c-section - paid maternity leave. then, they are pretty good about allowing you to use as much of your vacation/time as you have accrued before coming back, as you like. so you would still be getting paid during that. you are also allowed to take up to 1 year unpaid leave of absence... if you do take that though, you have to 0 out your time (vacation etc) before going into your unpaid leave of absence.
