Many prayers for IrishLass UPDATE Passing of Schultz
I wasnt going to post bc i wasnt sure if Patty wanted me to give an update on Schultz but i did find a post she updated about his status so i think its ok for me to update u all here as well. She has given us suppport, cried with us, and been nothing but a true friend.
Just a quick backround if u didnt get to read her original post about Schultz last week, her sweet sweet dog, wbc count came back very high last wednesday. Originally the vet thought it was a mistake bc Schultz is very active, still eats, plays and runs around. However this is her update on schultz as of Friday:
"**UPDATE***
It has been confirmed by a specialist that Schultz has acute lymphoblastic leukemia, stage 5, very aggressive. I cannot put him through chemo when it will only give him, possibly two more months. That would be for me, not for him. We will enjoy the time we have left with him.
I really can't believe I am writing this, I have no idea how I will get over losing him, I wasn't prepared for him not to grow old. There's a part of me that knows that God doesn't make these things happen, they just do. But I am angry, so angry. Three pregnancies and now my precious Schultz.
Thank you all for your support and prayers, I greatly appreciate you all!

I am completly heartbroken over this. Dh and i have met Schultz and for any of u that have never met him this is just a glimpse on how great a friend Schultz is : - dh was attacked by a rottie a few years back therefore he is very wary around big dogs. However, Schultz has proven himself to be gentle, loveable and trusting - dh fell in love with him from day 1!!!
DH nicknammed him Gentle Giant.
Lets all keep Patty, Scott, Schultz and Schultz's sister Zoey in our prayers.
UPDATE
I am so saddened to post this but i read this on Pattys facebook :
" We are so sad to have to tell everyone that Schultz is no longer with us. We got a great gift, Saturdy and Sunday were great, he had great days, most of the new pictures are from those days. Last night he got really bad and couldn't breathe so well, we knew it was time, we weren't going to let him go with no dignity. He walked in today on his own terms, the way he would've wanted it."

Thank you everyone for your great thoughts, wishes and prayers. I am overhwhelmed by everyone's support.
We got a great gift...we got to spend time with him Saturday and Sunday and he was good, not himself, but good. Last night he took a very sudden turn for the worse, difficulty breathing, very uncomfortable, we couldn't let him continue on and get worse. He is now gone, from my home, but not my heart, not ever.
Thank you again to everyone.
