The first time in your life?
I just bought four boxes from stop and shop for 1.99 each
they are my absolute favorite cookies. That being said I have noticed that the past few years they have been scimping on the chocolate...it used to be thicker.
P.S. they are awsome in the freezer

well I just ate half of the box to make up for lost time and at domino's suggestion will store the rest in the freezer.
eta - mallormars are seasonal? get out! i may have to stock up....

Yeah.. they only come out when it's cold. They'll disappear right around Easter. And.. I am pretty sure they are exclusive to NY/NJ.

The choc melts in the trucks apparently... same thing w/ choc covered pretzles... not sure how the choc doesn't melt on hershey bars though.

my dad worked for Nabisco - the back of the trucks are too hot and the marshmellow expands & choc melts that is why they are only out in the winter. Maybe hershey trucks are refrigerated??
this means that the vanilla covered oreos aren't too far away..yum.
DH and I went food shopping yesterday and saw them in S&S - he didn't know they weren't year round either!!

I looked everywhere for these last winter and never found them!  Did you find them last winter? where?
Sorry that was off topic  But i LOVE mallomars.. and I will definitely be trying them in the microwave.. how have I not done that yet??
