Maddie's Birthday Invite
Finished it on the train ride today! I have to figure out how to work "No gifts" more politely. DH doesn't like your presence is the only gift requested...or any variation.
Anyway, it was a piece of cake to do on photoshop if anyone needs help.

What if you said something like "In lieu of gifts, please bring a small donation to" and pick a charity Maddie might be interested in. Like an animal shelter, or guide dog foundatoin or there's one that allows wheelchair bound people to ride on horses. I can get the name from my cousin if you are interested.
A lot of times you can call ahead and make an appt to bring Maddie to make the donation herself. A lot of times they'll take her on a tour and make her feel really important.
ETA: Meant to say it's really cute! Love that pic of her.

Because I can't imagine 30 more toys in this house. We're in toy hell. Plus I feel horrible tossing out them out. I'd rather people save their money.

I love it...I have tried the no gift rule for parties and no matter what it doesn't work...people still bring gifts...so be prepared

First of all, I can't believe you blurred out the address so now I don't know where I am going to bring Maddie her AMAZING present that I bought!!
Its adorable! Even if you said on the invite no presents, I would still bring something for the birthday girl!

I think it came out adorable and you did a great job. Do people ask you what to get them? I always ask my SIL and it is always cloths so that is what I get. I did that with DS too. Now I don't have to buy any summer cloths. I would still probably give money if I say no gifts on the invite or an artical of clothing.
