Low Lying Placenta

I was diagnosed with Previa, and put on pelvic rest. My last appointment they told me it's no longer a complete previa, but I have a low lying placenta. I forgot to ask if that means no more pelvic rest.. and now my doctor is out of the office until Tuesday bc of a death in her family. If I really need to I can wait until Tuesday when I hear back- it's been months anyways, but does anyone have experience with this? Is it safe to BD with my husband again finally??? LOL. Chat Icon

Low Lying Placenta

Thanks.. I guess I'll wait to hear back from my doctor.. was hoping low lying meant I was clear again.. but I did have a complete previa at my last appointment, so I'll wait and see..

Re: Low Lying Placenta

I had a low placenta. Not previa. They kept an eye on it and eventually it moved.

I had a low lying placenta and my doctor said no sex. It eventually moved one its own and now we are in the clear. It seems as if yours is making positive progress! Just a few more weeks and hopefully you'll be good.

Re: Low Lying Placenta

My first pregnancy, I had a Low Lying Placenta. I was not put on any restrictions and it eventually moved.

My second pregnancy I had a partial placenta previa, was put on pelvic rest. It eventually moved up as well.

Maybe wait till you talk to the doctor, but I don't think I would worry about it so much. seems like it is moving.
