Lovenox Users

I am a little concerned. I seem to have about 4 little balls under my skin across my stomach where I do the lovenox shots! Is this normal? They are a little painful too! If they are normal, Is there anything I can do to avoid or minimize them?

They are normal-and come and go throughout your pregnancy.

I don't know what to do to avoid them, I just move positions when I notice them and give them a chance to go away.

I am so sick of injecting in my stomach!!! I tried my thigh last night and it hurt so badly that I went back to my stomach!!! I hate these Lovenox shots!!!

I tend to get less of those balls if I inject closer to my sides- the love handle region... and I also have to ice now- I never did before. I also push the plunger in very, very slow... not sure if that helps or not.

I asked the doc about my thighs- and he said no- that it was more effective in the stomach.. who knows.

i see a hematologist and i asked him about that - he said its perfectly normal to get - they are just little hemotomas under the skin. Not dangerous at all. HTH!!

ice ice ice!! I ice for a few minutes before and after I inject. I try to stay at the love handles.
I was getting huge bumps and bruises and then I started icing longer. Also pinch the skin tight, then inject, count to ten then pull the needle out and put the ice back on. My doctor was questioning me as to if i was still doing my shots. They thought I had skipped shots since I has so little bruising.

i get them too, have had 3 of them for about 2 months


it helps to let the air about before injecting, although you dont have to bc its subcu. i find that when I do i get the bumps less
