Lovenox
I was NOT expecting to get 30 needles today....I thought it was just like the Ovidrel.
Can anyone give me some insight about this lovely drug.
TIA!

Re: Lovenox
I didn't find it to be bad at all. It burns slightly at first, but even that seems to get better with time. Imo and for me the worst thing is the briuses, but even they aren't painful just ugly. Good luck. Feel free to fm me with any questions.

Re: Lovenox
Pinch up a piece of skin on your belly-in line with your belly button from about 2 inches away all the way to your sides. Rub with an alcohol swab and stick-QUICKLY, inject and withdraw. I won't lie you will get nasty bruises but little pain. Ask your Dr about injecting in your thighs-I did

Re: Lovenox
You need to inject it approximately the same time everyday. It does not stay in your system very long.
It really isn't that bad. I always did it in the morning when I got up.

Re: Lovenox
I found the lovenox needles to be the easiest. I always did them right after all my other meds.

Re: Lovenox
one a day- approx the same time every day as others said. I found the shots to get more painful as time went on.. not less- but, I guess everyone is different.
I started off not having to ice- but now I do have to ice...
so I ice for about 2-3 minutes, then alcohol swab.. then I go in fast but push in plunger slow- the slower you do I think minimizes the bruising and burning.
You also don't have to just do in line with your belly button- you can go up into your sides a little bit too- I find the "love handle" area isn't as painful
