Lotion on newborns?
DD is almost 2 wks old. I wipe her down, but she hasn't gotten a bath yet. Waiting for her belly button to finish coming off. Anyway, Can/should I put lotion on her? I'm especially concerned about her head. I think it's starting to get dry. WWYD? Thanks!

Re: Lotion on newborns?
I used lotion after I gave her a sponge bath.
Her dry head is called cradle cap. What worked for us was baby oil and a comb. Put baby oil on her scalp and let it sit there for 5 minutes then comb it the opposite way of her hairline and you will see all the gunk on the comb, worked wonders!

Re: Lotion on newborns?
DS is also 2 weeks old. So far we have just wiped him down with a wash cloth. I plan to use cetaphil when I give him a bath.
I plan to give him a bath after his belly button is completely healed. Hopefully in the next week or so.
