I don't think that is was cruel because she looked just as hurt as Jack. I don't think it was HER fault that she left him. She was pushed away by Jack always trying to be perfect (aka who he's not).Posted by sirk1020

Ang-Rich (how are you, btw!?): I didn't think of it that way... thanks! I would say that definitely makes sense. Why else would everyone's treatment be different?
And I don't think that Kate ate the food either. She's just as stubborn as Jack.

You think? I still want to know why they're on the island. They should be in Alaska or some place cold. If anything, knowing that the polar bears were held captive, further emphasizes that they're all there as an experiment like the bears were.

Here's something to ponder. A friend sent me this from a message board:
I believe that Lost is really a psycho rehab or something simular. All of the victims have had some tramatic problems in their life. I believe they were unable to cope their for they were sent to this place. In all of their minds, they believe they have been on a plane crash, but in reality there mind has crashed or they had some kind of a mental break down.
The others may be psych conselors or / and former clients themselves who help those who have been through simular situations
How else do you figure that blonde headed woman had a file on Jack? She knew about his wife and other things. She must be his therapist. This place maybe where they can learn how to cope or deal with their tradgic losts. That's why it's called Lost.
They won't be found until they heal themselves.
Remember the French lady? She had issues too and Hurley, also. All of the people on the island have server problems. Don't you agree? People who they believe are dead are not dead.
Maybe they made them look dead, because they were ready to go back to the real world and in order for them not to distrub this type of therapy, they made them believe they were dead or missing. The reason they are going through so much and the others won't tell them who they are is because it is up to them to figure it out. It's apart of their therapy

Well when Sawyer escaped... you saw alot of deserted cages like in an old zoo. I know there are polar bears in the Central Park zoo so maybe they dont have to be in the arctic. Maybe Kate's horse is from the zoo too.

There is so much information on this show, I can't keep my head straight. 
Kate looked more freaked out then she ever has.
When Jack asked that lady what was going on, I was like "please tell us". But of course she just walked away.
WHAT IS THE DEAL WITH THIS SHOW????? WILL WE EVER KNOW??? 
Do you think that when they had the polar bear running thru the jungle back in the first season, the writers knew that they would eventually have a zoo on the island??? Or do they make it up as they go???
I think the writers sit and a circle and say "lets think of some really f**ked up thing and write that in. Yeah, remember the polar bear....we'll make a zoo on the island. Good idea." Or "remember the giant invisible monster, let's just put that aside right now. We'll f**k with that later."

When JJ Abrams was on Howard Stern during last season he said that they have the main tenets of the show already written and all the details are in this book they call "the bible." He said that they definitely have an ending but that they just tweak little details as they go along.

I'm not sure what the number is but they said they will definitely not string it out to keep ratings going or whatever. They said they want the story to just take it's natural course.

The makers of LOST want to end the hit TV show after a maximum of five years and are planning a feature-length movie spin-off.
Co-creator DAMON LINDELOF is so worried producers and studio executives will drag the show out he is making his opinion on the matter clear now.
He says, "We'd love to end the show after four year, five years tops and do a movie."
