I didn't start watching this until season 2, and I bought the DVD for season 1, I got so spoiled because I could just watch and watch for hours, and now I can't stand the WAITING!!!

ok , i'll be the buzz kill - I liked it but I need to start getting some anwers - I'm impatient

why doesn't Kate ask Ben why the next weeks will be difficult? why doesn't Sawyer ask "chachie" (which was hysterical by the way) who he is and where he is from?

and jack manages to tackle juliet and get her to open the door and then in one punch she knocks him out --
I like Jack too , but I thought that was funny

I can't wait til next episode where they bring the other survivors in, love hurley and sayid

also - do you believe that the others who live in their whoville type land are also being played by Penelope's dad and his company? I think the survivors and the others are all pawns in one big game - I don't think Ben knows as much about this whole project as it may seem

ok done - going to find out if the stephen king book meant anything

Well another season has begun and I am hooked already! I dont care about the answers because I find it so exciting while I am watching... it is worth it.

And I think the Stephen King book was in there because he sat in on a writer's meeting not too long ago. There was a whole pull out section in a magazine recently.

Things to think about:
*Who was "Chachie"? For some reason, I don't think that he was a prisoner. Is he an other?
*Is the file real? If it is, then that would mean that the survivors were brought to the island, which I thought until I realized that when Ben starts spitting out orders, one is for someone to make a list of the survivors. Wouldn't he know? Also, maybe the survivor part of the island is bugged, and the info in the "file" is stuff that was overheard... I mean, if they can pull off the "whispers", they can bug the island, right?
*Why did Ben tell Juliet "good job" and then exchange weird looks? Is it because the file is fake?
*Is Ben part of the whole thing? I agree with sirk1020. I think that they're all Penelope's father's hamsters.
*The others are the "good people".
*The Stephen King book.... does it have anything to do with the plot of the show? And why was the random guy in the Book Club so upset about that choice of book?

*What is it about the polar bears? Why were they in the cages, too?

Ugh, I hate this show sooooooo much!
Why do they keep playing on our suspense!?????

Btw, wasn't it sweet that Sawyer gave his cookie to Kate after only taking one bite?

based on the end of last season , I don't think that particular plane was brought down on purpose -I think it came down b/c Desmond lost it and turned the key or did whatever he did to lure the plane down w. the magnetic force. I don't think the others were expecting it, based on their reax in last night's epi - BUT maybe once they got the manifesto they communicated with Penelope's dad's peeps in the real world and that is how they got their files

hmmm? who knows , I can go on and on speculating

I think it was a good first episode. It revealed more questions, which I think are necessary so the series stays on the air for more than 4 seasons....we can't figure everything out, they have to keep adding in plot lines.

I heart Jack.....his ex-wife was so cruel when she said "It doesn't matter who he is, it matters who you aren't."

I couldn't help but think that each one of the three is having a different experience right now because the other's have studied them long enough to know how to "break" them.

They seem to be doing things to remind Jack, Kate and Sawyer of the life they left behind. Since being on the island they have been able to start new without the past intruding on people's perceptions of them but the "other's" seem to know just how to tell them that it's not forgotten.

I don't know...can't help but think that all that we know about the characters will be brought up as a way to control them...know what I mean?
