Looks like My son will be here a week early
So went to the OB yesterday and everything is looking great with baby. With me on the other hand.. her response was is " this gonna be your only child" i know she was just kidding and starting convo because i have been through so much but i started to cry. TUrns out that with this pubis symphis she wants to do a c section a week early. So look like instead of feb 14th it will be the week before. Im a little nervous about going early because i want him to "cook" as much as possible. Thanks for letting me share. Either way im so in love and cant wait to meet him

A week is really not so bad. He'll be plenty cooked by then. Look at this way, at least now you can prepare since you know the day, you can make sure you've made all the arrangements you need to make and then you can just relax and have your bambino!

A week is NO reason to worry. Don't even think twice about that. My baby came a mth early and she was pretty much fine.

A week is no reason to worry! I will be having a scheduled c-sec the week before too. Actually I am hoping to convince my doctor to do it at 38 weeks...

WOW thanks ladies.. i just cant believe that im am so close to the end. To actually hear doctors say we need a few more weeks out of you is sooo wierd to hear.

 So much for being date twins for BOTH of us, huh? Our babies just aren't cooperating very well!!!
Mine is already starting to show the true colors just like his mommy---never on time and doing things "a$$-backwards" right from the beginning. 
I think just a week early isn't anything to be concerned about. He'll have lots of time to cook and be healthy before then. I can only hope my baby boy decides to stay in there for that long!!! We'll see what happens.
Lots of hugs! So, have you picked a C-Section date yet? Hope you don't go "cheating on me" with your "new" date twin.....

You should be fine delivering a week early. I'm delivering at 39 weeks too.

Like others have said, everything will be OK. A few of my friends have delivered earlier than that and everything was fine.

Don't worry he will be fine, one of my nephews was a week earlier and he is fine. Thank god he came earlier because he was already alittle over 8lbs

a week is TOTALLY fine!!!!!!!!!! The baby is fully developed by that point and you are completely good to go!!!!!!!!!

A week is definately fine! I was hoping to be date twins though since I am due only a couple of days before you My doc said I was measuring a week ahead so who knows?
All will be fine and you will be happy to be spared that final week 40 - its the worst toture known to man!

they diagnosed you with Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction (SPD)?
I was diagnosed with this at 32 weeks but no mention of c-section
what else did dr. say?

You dont have anything to worry about when it comes to having your  a week early! The baby is developed and will be fine at 39 weeks...there are a lot of babies born before 40 weeks.

They say 37 weeks is full term. Sweetie I'm sure you will be fine!
