Looking for recommends for Pillitteri or Vullo/Samipo thanks

Hi there: I posted this question in the ttc/pregnancy area too~ looking for an OB/gyn recommendation - I have 3 wonderful kids and now DH and I are shocked to find out we are PG again - I had many pregnancies that were all problematic - the last (my DD) was Placental abrubtion /cord issues and she was born at 28 weeks after months of Hospital lockdown (lol but that was how it felt) - I used Dr Pillitteri in DP and havent been in for visit of any kind in over 8 years - looking at his reviews they are all over the place and the office seems to have changed - can anyone still recommend him that has used him for prenatal care in the last couple of years - or are there other recommendations for a great doc (prefer male - in sole practice ) Dr P was ithe best when I had my kids before but now I have even more risks and am older and not sure I want to deal with the staff issues.....any input is appreciated - as I am not sure what to do! I'm seeing Dr. Sampino in West Islip at Comprehensive OBGYN. He does have a partner, Dr. Vullo who I haven't seen yet. This is a new practice for me since becoming pregnant, but I have been very happy with the level of care so far. He was very highly recommended by other women on LIF.

I used Pillitteri in 2010-11 and wouldn't step foot in his office ever again. Literally ran out of there after my last pp visit. For high-risk, I used Dr. El Kady, Good Sam's MFM, liked her a lot. Maybe call and ask that office who they work with for regular OB.

Thanks for the recommendation - do you know if you see both or just one of the Drs? I see great reviews of these drs but do they handle high risk or send you out? thanks!

Was this bc of the Dr himself or the staff in the office ? DH really wants me to see this Dr but I am shocked by alot of the negative comments - and I see very limited hours for the dr himself - I remember the office was not fun to deal with themselves.....Thanks

I still see Dr. P and other than the crazy wait times, have no issues.

I switched at 20 weeks to Dr Antoniadis. I love him and will drive to the ends of the earth to see him for my next.

The entire office is great. It is just him so you won't be suffled around to others.

I developed issues durign my 3rd tri and he was on top of everything. Waits are 10 mins max. He even beat me to the hospital during one of my "emergencies".

I see Dr. P.
While I agree that his wait times aren't great, I haven't had any issues with him directly. I can't speak about much as far as his staff goes as a majority of my "stuff" is done thru my perinatologist, rather than my OB's office.
My fertility dr and perinatologist both highly recommended him, and I trusted them to get me that far, so we went to see Dr. P and so far so good. You'll definitely find mixed reviews about him (and any other dr) on here, so you may want to make a couple of appointments and meet w/ the dr's you're narrowing it down to and make your decision based off that.

I had to go to labor & delivery and stayed overnight in the hospital. I never saw him as he was out of town with his family that weekend, but was annoyed because the hospital kept telling me he would be there first thing Sunday morning... but after speaking with him about how upset I was, I realized that wasn't his fault- that was their fault for making assumptions and leading me to believe that he was in town. (And then telling him I was fine and kept asking to go home when I NEVER did!!! )

While some people may like him, run do not walk from Pilliterri's office. Anyone would be better.

I found Dr Vullo and Dr Sampino by LIF recommendations...I have the best care there not only by Dr Vullo also by the staff
This office is the best and I have been through 3 offices between Nassau and Suffolk

I use Dr. Franchina in Babylon and have nothing but great things to say about him. He has his own practice and works closely with Dr. El Kady at Good Sam MFM. (She's AMAZING also)
Dr. Vullo actually assisted Franchina with my c-section.
Never really met him, but they did a great job together!

Thanks everyone - I am going to make an appt for a consult with both Drs and go from there...I am such a big chicken about going back to the Dr about this as I feel like at my age (41) and my history they are going to tell me I am nuts and that Im too old to have another pregnancy go sucessfully but I am going to see.....Ughhh

I used Dr. P for both my girls and loved him. Wait times do suck, but I didn't mind because he was great with me.

My sister saw dr p and el kade and can't say enough about dr p. she suffered from multiple miscarriages and infertility and he made it happen for her. The wait times are crazy but she can't say enough about how wonderful he is and how much she loves him.
He did her c section and has a beautiful daughter. Also el kade was in the or with them!
