Looking for a new OB
Hi Ladies,
I am looking for a new OB. I live in Western Suffolk County, but would be willing to go to Nassau as long as the doc is on the North Shore. Also if you know that your doc has experiences with VBACs that would be a plus. I am also looking for a practice that has decent hours and more than one doctor in the office.
Thanks so much!

Re: Looking for a new OB
I love Dr. Wagner & Dr.Goldman is also great.
The office wait can be a bit insane if you go during lunch or after work but to be honest I've experienced that at almost every Dr. office.
You'll probably find mixed reviews on here but I know for certain that if Dr. Wagner didn't deliver my DD I would have had a C-Section.
I'd definitely inquire with him about his experience with VBAC's.
WGM P.S There is an office in Huntington (on 25A, east of Park Ave.) as well as E.Northport.

Re: Looking for a new OB
All I can say is good luck, I too am looking for a new OBGYN since my old practice lost all the doctors who deliver.
I'm looking in the Huntington area but since I'm not pregnant I get pushed to the back burner. I can't find any who have good hours

Re: Looking for a new OB
I just started seeing Dr. Klein in Commack after I found out my other OB wasn't deliverying anymore. I like him. And I love that I don't wait long in the office. It annoys me. It is him and only one other doctor of which I yet to meet. FM if you want more details. He also has an office in West Islip.

I go here also. Dr. Klein and Dr. Egre - they are both fantastic!
Their West Islip office is diagonally across the street from Good Sam.

Re: Looking for a new OB
My OB is in Plainview and is great. He is very easy going and I never have trouble making appointments (non preggo ones too) within a week's time. The office staff is great too. They know me by face when I come in (even in btwn pregnancies)
He is alone though, but has a midwife, who I adore and I went to her through both my pregnancies (although had 2 c/s) She was very supportive of trying a VBAC until my last sono when the baby measured 10.5 pounds.

Re: Looking for a new OB
I go to Women for Women in Lake Success. The doctors are Dr. Duncan, Dr. Sanders and Dr. Ostroff. They are supportive of VBAC--I had wanted to try for one in May, but Abby had other plans...FM me if you would like the number.

Re: Looking for a new OB
My OB is experienced in VBAC's (I had one!). However, he is in Garden City by Roosevelt Field. And he is a sole practicioner (which I happen to love) and has a back-up doctor if necessary. I see he doesn't fit your needs, but if you want his info, please let me know.
