Long Island Towns that have a Main Street
I love the idea of living in a town that has a village.
I know of Islip, Sayville, Massapequa Park, Babylon, Lindenhurst and Port Jeff.
Are there any others? I would prefer South Shore and not too far east.
TIA!

Re: Long Island Towns that have a Main Street
Rockville Centre (actually it's a few blocks) but definitely full of stories, restaurants and just feels like a downtown.

Massapequa Park's is L A M E ........I am SO disappointed in it - they really need to move some new businesses in there I only live across the preserve, and we dont' have one at all in Massapequa -

Curious -- where? I live nearby, but don't know much about Merrick / Bellmore. I'd love to explore more!
Thanks.

My favorite is Sayville and Bay Shore. Although I love babylon too. I live right near Sayville so I'm always shopping in town.

I don't think it's that bad. I just moved there - so maybe it's because I'm new.
It looks like they are re-doing the facade where Village Farms is though - that's a plus.
I think it's cute - hardware store, Yours to Treasure, ice cream, pizza, restaraunts, deli, florist - everything a little village should have.
