Light sleeper at 2 1/2
DD has always been a light sleeper. I can't open her door to ever check on her - even a slight wakes her up. She sits up as if she has never been asleep. Her room is always dark, she will not sleep with a nightlight.
For the last month she has been waking up between 3 and 5 am and crying. Sometimes she will say she wants to cuddle with me or DH, sometimes she says she is scared....I've tried being stern with her and taking her back in her crib...only to hear her crying 15 minutes later....and doing it all over again. There have been times that we are so exhausted, we have let her sleep with us.
Anyway, I was hoping daylight savings time would help....but she woke up again at 5am. During the week her teachers at daycare say she is a restless napper.
I am at my wits end. I barely get a few hours of sleep and she wakes up happy and refreshed.....I need help and advice.

Re: Light sleeper at 2 1/2
We are going through something similar with DS. When I listen to him, he actually has nightmares. (eta: same age, same time waking up).
We chose to just bring him into bed with us. While I know it's not perfect, Im hoping this phase will pass.
Good luck!
