Not one.
Why were they waiting for it to get bad?
This storm was no suprise as mentioned.
We were told to prepare as mentioned.
Why weren't the towns and counties prepared like we were supposed to be?
To me, the response was disgraceful.
They knew they couldn't handle more than a foot of snow- they should have been out earlier clearing roads as it was coming down to stay ahead of it.
The LIE is a major highway- to see the condition it is east of exit 57- 2 days later- is disgraceful.

When over a foot of snow falls in less than 3 hours, it is impossible to stay on top of it all. I read a story on Newsday that one of their reporters pulled over to clean her windshield and wipers and then was stuck because of how fast the snow was falling. I think you like to live in a fantasy land where you expect sayings like 'if they were more prepared, all of the streets would be plowed' to be true. If you went out to shovel every time your driveway was covered, how hard would it be for you to stay on top of the job? You would be out there constantly. That is what they are doing and they have more than just a driveway. I think they have done a tremendous job getting streets cleared.

BTW...I would have to imagine that plowing a grid, such as NYC, is a lot easier than plowing the streets on LI.

When you go to vacuum a room, is it easier to vacuum a room that has nothing on the floor or one that has kids toys all over it? To vacuum that floor with stuff all over it, don't you have to remove all the items on the floor before you vacuum it? So instead of a bunch of toys, it is many of cars that are abandoned in the road. Yes, I think they are doing a terrific job for what they have had to deal with. I repeat, you live in a fantasy land where everything should work out perfectly. Since you can work from home and hate the snow, why not leave if the service isn't up to par?

When you go to vacuum a room, is it easier to vacuum a room that has nothing on the floor or one that has kids toys all over it? Take my power, we can make do! I just don't WANT to be trapped in my home anymore! This is getting ridiculous! They keep saying they are cleaning the LIE for tomorrow's commute. NO ONE is even going to be able to get to the LIE!

When I pay what I pay in taxes- as compared to friends in other areas who pay less than half and get more than double the services- then yes I do expect things to be up to par.
And yes, we are working on leaving- to go someplace where you get more for your tax dollars than this joke.

We were just outside with our neighbors. They said this is by far the longest they've ever gone without the street being plowed. They said ours is usually the first after main roads since it's an emergency route. Pretty much everyone is staying home from work tomorrow because we just cannot get out.

I can't believe what a lousy job the town did. They had plenty of time to prepare and the weather people targeted the right spots of who were suppose to get the most snow. I also can't believe that they didn't take resources from the city or Nassau to help out. It always seems to be that Long Island is forgotten about and it just ridiculous.

We live in a private complex and our crew was plowing all night during the storm. Our road was totally clear yesterday afternoon because they kept on top of it. I still can't go anywhere though because we are off of 347 and it's a mess.
