Level 2 yesterday - annoying vent
DH and I went for the Level 2 yesterday and from everything that they could see the twins are doing well.
The person who did my sono was the same person who did my 12 week ultrascreen and I just really don't like her. I go every 2 weeks so at 14, 16 and 18 weeks I had awesome people doing them.
This woman just doesn't speak at all.. and when you ask a question she doesn't answer until you basically ask it 2-3 times. (example - I said is that both of their heads next to eachother, repeat, repeat - her answer - No.) She doesn't explain or let you know what anything is.. she took 1 picture of each twin that looks like a serious blob.. where every week I always get great pics.
What topped it off was when she started forcefully pounding on my stomach with the paddle and I said "OW that hurts".. and she said "well with your weight I can't get close to the babies" and I said" they never have a problem any other week" and she said "well this is more in depth, I could have done what they all did and been done already" really arrogantly.
Anyway I basically said that I want to see the dr and I explained to the dr that I wasn't a fan of hers.. he was able to see everything that she was missing from the scan and he took 2 cute profile pics. He said that from now on I can ask to not see her.. which is what I totally plan to do.
I'm so happy that everything is great with the babies, just sucks that the experience of going in with DH to see them (he hasnt been since 12 weeks) was ruined b/c she was so rude.

Wow! You handled that better than i would have, i would have asked for anothe tech. Sorry it was a bad experience.

That is so rude! I'm glad you complained to the dr! It's bad enough to not answer your questions, but to make a comment about your weight is out of line.

That stinks! I had a very similar experience at my level II. I spoke to the MD about it and he said after all the complaints that he has been getting the practice decided to let her go.
Sorry that she was so terrible to you!

Do you go to Kofinas by any chance? There is a woman there, i think its Diane ? not sure and she is a total rude BEEEOTCH and this sounds exactly like her.
I had the SAME experience with my NT scan, and I will be sure to request another sono tech next visit AND will be letting the doctor know.
Sorry you went thru that, these people can just ruin such a happy and exciting moment

There is nothing worse than a sono tech with a stick up their butt. Especially for a sono like the level II where you are on the table for what seems like eternity.
Sorry you had such a crappy experience. With this twin pregnancy I've had my share of morons and it isn't pleasant at all.

ugh she sounds like a miserable wench!!
Glad you spoke to the dr. though, and definitely ask for someone else if you have to have more sonos done.

I would have seriously told her off. How dare she make such a comment. Who the hell is she? WOW I totally would have ripped her a new one. Maybe if she was actually good at what she was doing it wouldnt take banging on your belly to get what she needed. MY level 2 was NOTHING like that. Granjted im not having twins, but when it was a bit difficult to get the pic she moved on & went back later. GEEZ Im sorry it was ruined fo ryou. But thankfully the twins are good& healthy.

Oh wow!
She lacks etiquette. And apparently she doesn't like her job much. She's disgruntled and seems to take it out on the patients. Terrible.
I'm so glad you said something to the dr. That's exactly what should be done. At least now you know you never have to see her nasty arse again!!
I'd be annoyed with that behavior too! And the comments!!!

Thanks girls, yea she was SO rude I really wanted to flip out on her but I tried to keep cool. I was thankful that the dr totally understood what I was saying and agreed that I shouldn't see her anymore!
