Level 2 this morning (w/pics!)
Today was my level 2. I did not expect too many surprises since the amnio came back with such great results, but there are things that an amnio can't tell you and so there was an element of anxiety. So I hopped up on the table, pulled up the shirt and gelled up.
As soon as I saw the 4 chambers of 's heart, I breathed a sigh of relief. I mean I can feel him moving, but seeing it is just an incredible thing. The tech in my OB's office was incredibly throrough and explained EVERYTHING. I was able to see the blood flow through the cord. I saw his brain, his kidneys, his long legs. Then, we got the money shot. I swear I could see DH grin from ear to ear with the look that said "THAT'S MY BOY!"
My cervix was nice and long thank G-d.
Not for one minute do I take for granted how blessed and lucky that we are PG for a second time. Having Abby after a relatively short IF journey was a miracle. Getting PG with after an even shorter (yet perhaps more painful) IF journey has humbled me so much. I marvel in my miracle who is already here and the one who is growing inside.
At this point, I am more than half way through my pregnancy now at 19 weeks and 5 days since I am not going a full 40 weeks. In about a month, I'll be able to schedule my c-section.

Go figure! DH and I have HUGE heads. When I was PG with Abby, we were told she had a nice little round head. She still does - 10th percentile - and has always been that way. Maybe THIS kid will be big. He is estimated at 14 ounces already. But then again, Abby was "supposed to be" an 8 pounder.

When I took a glance at the sono at first, I thought it said xxl . I was like, whoa, sono technician getting a little too overzealous there for your DH. Then I realized it said XY with the cursor blinking
