Let's Talk...Bikini Wax...

I've been getting it done since I was 16 y/o...

My friend is 25 y/o and I'm taking her to get it done tomorrow...she asked me to get the "scoop" from you ladies...she wants the "raw" information - does it hurt, what should she wear, etc...

I've been going to the same two people for over 10 years, and I told her not to be embarrassed, to wear a thong, and pop two advils one hour before, and use the numbing spray...anything else that I can tell her? I doesn't hurt me...but she thinks I'm lying or that I'm "numb" to it....please convince her that I'm right!

numbing spray???

I have never been offered that!

I really don't find it that bad. Is she getting a brazillian?

I jut had one last month at almost 30wks pregnant, totally tollerable!

You know how your place is, some give you paper panties, some have you take them off, some cover you with paper towels.

I think the trick is to try and relax as much as possible and exhale when they are about to RIP!

Re: Let's Talk...Bikini Wax...

i was soooo scared to get one the first time-truly scared, shaking, etc, and not too many ppl have see the vajayjay before, so it was a BIG DEAL.

first i didnt want to take my pants off lol, but i eventually did...it hurt, but not as bad as i thought it would

the only part that really fkn hurts is the sides, not even the (excuse me) lips LOLOLOL

Honestly it didnt hurt that much at all that I went with a brazilian. It didnt hurt anymore than if someone pinched you- last for a second.

I have no advice- but a ??? (I'm going for the 1st time soon)

I went a few years back and they told me the hair was too short- how long does it have to be? Like how many days post shave is appropriate?

the same as when you go in to get your eyebrows waxed. that length and make sure you exfoliate the skin after so you dont get ingrowns.

Re: Let's Talk...Bikini Wax...

Oh my god! what numbing spray are you referring too?? please, tell us where you go?

I must admit. I tried this once, years ago, and I got half way. I could not tolerated. I was screaming. I think, the place I went to is called Rain Spa in East Islip. I hope I got the right name. I was totally, horrified. She said,I must have been mestruating. I don't remember now. But, never did it again. Thank god, sorry for being descriptive. I am pretty light down there, not to mention. I shave my legs every two weeks. My hair doesn't grow as fast and its very light. But,I would like to try it again.

Re: Let's Talk...Bikini Wax...

The biggest trick is to go to someone that does it in BIG patches. Not tiny ones. I use dto go to a great woman who did about 4 rips and you were done...I have heard good things about the waxing place on Larkfield Rds in E Northport basically across from teh firehouse-a bit further down towards Northport.
