Let's talk fevers
I admit, I am a bit overly paranoid when it comes to fevers, not sure why
so kj had the ONE vomiting episode late last night that I THINK was from him coughing....
I just took his temp and it is 102.9....online I read for babies 6+ months, anything 103 or higher call the doctor.
I just gave motrin and a tepid bath
what else can I do?
UPDATE -took kj to the doctor. his ears and lungs are clear but he had some red spots in his mouth
dr said it is probably coxsackie...no meds, just tylenol/motrin for the fever and lots of fluids

Re: Let's talk fevers
Ugh. I get freaked with potential fevers too. DS has only had 1 so far, we just did Tylenol and tepid baths and it was down the next day. The ped will know what's going on, I'm glad you're bringing him in. Poor little guy I hope he's better soon!!!

Re: Let's talk fevers
There must be something going around...DD woke up screaming last Saturday night and her fever was almost 104. It went up and down between 100.8 and 102.6 up until yesterday morning. I just gave her tylenol whenever she was uncomfortable. We also cut out her solids and just let her drink BM to keep her hydrated. She's back to her happy usual self today.
I hope he feels better soon!
