Leaving for my 39+ week appointment...UPDATED
Pray for dilation or SOME progress!!!! I'll be back later!!!
UPDATE:
Today I saw one of the top OBGYNs in the county, so I trust him. With that being said, I continue to believe the dr. has no clue when this baby will come. I "might" be dilated, but had trouble reaching my cervix so he couldn't tell me for sure. I suppose dilation dosent really mean much considering some women don't even dilate until they go into active labor. He said the baby's head was very low and he could feel it with no problem. I told him about all of the inconsistent cramping, contractions, back pain I've been feeling. He said that it sounds like I am in and out of early labor, but it isn't staying consistently. He said "I don't think he will come today but I believe it will happen sometime this week." (Again, I am not holding this as the word of the Lord considering Baby G has his own agenda). But, I'd like to think he knows what he is saying considering his ranking in OBGYNs in the county.
He had me make an appointmnet for next week just in case. If G dosent come by my Monday appointment then they will do a sono to check him and then schedule an induction for the following week (either the 15th or the 16th). I'm actually considering going to church and praying that I don't need an induction

just an fyi - i was not dilated at my last appt. My water broke a couple of days later when i got to the hospital i was barely 1 cm. So , dont worry, your water could still break when you arent dilated!!!

Well, at least the OB thinks you are gonna go soon. I hope he's right! Sending prayers that you don't have to be induced!

sorry baby G is being so stubborn... even though it doesn't mean anything/everything i know that being told you are dilated can do wonders for your psyche!

Labor vibes - if you want to hold out a little longer don't have your doctor force you into an early induction if all if ok with you and the baby.

If I am still pregnant by the 15th I will be fine with an induction. I just dont want to have to wait that long! Dr. said thier practice policy is that they only let you go 10 days late.

09/09/08...thats the new date!!! LOL Baby G and Riva will be one month apart exactly!!!!! You both were due on the 5th and you both gonna give birth on the 9th!!!!! Feel good and i will see you tomorrow at work!

Hope you are feeling ok. My doctor told me not to put much in being dialated, it could happen tonight or it could take two weeks still. I hope for your sake and mine its sooner rather than later!
