Leaky bbs??? TMI
Hi girls. So, this is my first cycle off bc. DH and I are not TTC yet, we are just using the pull and pray method.
I always had irregular short cycles before bc, so I'm not really sure what dpo I am, probably 2-8dpo.
When I was pg with my son 6 years ago I had to start wearing nursing pads at 5 months because my bbs would leak. This continued for about 2 years after I stopped breast feeding.
The past 2 days my bbs have felt very full and my nips have been extremely sensitive to the touch. This morning I woke up and there was some dried up fluid on one side and the other felt like it had some built up. When I squeezed a bit of fluid would come out.
Has anyone experienced anything like this?? Could this be from coming off bc?
Sorry for the TMI!

could you be pregnant? do you know for SURE that you O'd 2-8 days ago? 2-8 seems like a big span if you are certain that you did O

I don't know. If I follow the way my cycles were on BC I would be about 3-4 dpo. But if I follow the way they were before BC I could be up to 8dpo (possibly more).
I had an excessive amount of discharge the past few days as well and yesterday I felt a pulling/cramping sensation on my left side which was very similar to what I felt with my son during implantation. Back then my cycles were regular so I knew exactly when I o'd and it was 3 days later that I felt the cramping in the same spot.
I could just be reading too much into everything but was just wondering if anyone noticed this coming of bc.
I guess I'll just have to wait and see!

if it is related to implantaion, give it a good 4-5 days and test!

Not sure if it s a symptom of coming off bcp, but I do believe leaking breast milk can be a sign of a pituitary problem. I would speak to your OB about it.

Re: Leaky bbs??? TMI
After my mc 9yrs ago, Ive had leaky bbs for years prior to this pregnancy. Usually from physical stimulation (tmi). I think once your bbs start they can always leak afterwards.

Re: Leaky bbs??? TMI
Yes, this is definitely from elevated prolactin (which is a hormone secreted by the pituitary gland). When a woman is pregnant, the prolactin level becomes very elevated thus causing a woman to lactate.
Either way, I'd mention it to your doctor because it can be difficult to TTC with an elevated prolactin level because your body basically thinks that you are already pregnant and you may not ovulate as a result of it.
Feel free to FM with any questions. I've had elevated prolactin issues for over 10 years and still went on to have a healthy
