No, I don't think it's necessary. In fact, I think it's not great for your hair. Dries the shitt out of it.
But I don't have oily hair- my hair is very very dry

So out of curiosity I looked at the labels on a few different brands of shampoo on the Ulta website.
They don't even say repeat anymore.
I think that's old.
And probably done by the shampoo companies in the past so you use more shampoo!

Nope. I have a clarifying shampoo that I use once a week or once every two weeks and that makes my hair squeaky clean. In between, I use a regular shampoo.

I wash my hair only twice a week, so I do the lather rinse repeat then conditioner. I have long somewhat thick wavy hair that takes forever to dry and I don't want to subject it to a blow dryer every day.
I'll wash more frequently if I have to.

Same. Or sometimes if I spent the day at the beach and my hair still feels a little gross after the first wash, I'll repeat. But not normally.

I do this! I use a deep conditioner first. Then I wash it out. Then I use a regular conditioner.
It's the only way to deep condition my very fine hair once a week, without it being super soft and flat and limp.
