Lance Armstrong & Ashley Olsen's Latest N.Y. Hookup
Lance Armstrong and Ashley Olsen appear to be getting friendly: The unlikely twosome have met up at least twice this week while the former Tour de France champ is in town for the New York Marathon, sources tell PEOPLE.
The pair first shared a special moment on Monday night, getting close at the Rose Bar inside the Gramercy Park Hotel. (The rendezvous was well-documented in New York's newspapers on Wednesday.)
An observer tells PEOPLE: "Lance was hanging with her, definitely. [Olsen] was very flirtatious, and was sitting on his lap."
Another source said Olsen was with a group and "hanging out, having a good time."
Armstrong, 36, and Olsen, 21, reunited again in the wee hours Wednesday at hip restaurant the Waverly Inn. (Armstrong was there earlier that evening with Texas pal Owen Wilson.)
The retired cyclist and fashion designer Tory Burch recently broke up after a year-long relationship. A rep for Armstrong had no comment.

First, he left his wife who supported him all through his cancer struggle and everything else he went to to hook up with Cheryl Crow.
Then he leaves her while she is battling breast cancer. I don't think he is much of a role model. And now making out with Ashley Olsen? She is barely out of her teens. But of course, that is my personal opinion.

So he should "owe" his wife and stay with her b/c she supported him? That's what married couples are supposed to do, support each other. But maybe there were other factors why they divorced. Just b/c he started dating Crow shortly after his divorce doesn't mean that he left his wife for Crow. A divorce usually starts way before it's final.
And I think Crow's cancer was not diagnosed until after her and Lance were through. They still remain friends.
Hmm, so winning the Tour De France seven times, being named athlete of the year by various magazines, and starting a cancer research foundation is definitely a terrible role model.
Listen, I don't love or hate Lance, but I just find it funny when people make judgments about someone's character based on stuff they read in gossip magazines. Anyway, role models don't have to be saints.

she told the story of how she completely lost herself and her identity while being married to Lance and how she was MISERABLE in her marriage.
I am pretty sure THAT is why the marriage ended.
He's famous, single, and middle aged. Of course he's going to sow his oats.
I don't think he has particularly good taste...but that doesn't make him a scumbag.

in any case, i don't see the big deal with the age difference. she's 21, not 17. and he's in his 30s, not his 80s.

You are basing opinions on him based on what you think he may have done to his exes. Where they both say it wasn't his fault.

I have read all of his books and most articles regarding him because I find him to be an amazingly strong person.
A few facts...
He met his wife after being diagnosed and treated...he was recovering when he met her. He froze his sperm because he thought he was going to marry the woman he was dating when he was diagnosed. They broke up while he was being treated.
He met his ex-wife in Texas while he was recovering.
She was miserable because she didn't like living in Spain while he was training...she didn't know anyone and didn't speak the language. Plus, she had a HUGE problem with the random drug testing. Apparently officials show up any old time to do drug testing. In his second book he tells how they were leaving for 7:30 mass on a Sunday and the drug officials showed up and she had to go to church without him.
He and Sheryl broke up before she was diagnosed and she has actually said that he helped her through treatment when he found out.
So, I don't think he's a scumbag and if he wants to hang out with a 21 year old - so what? He might actually be good for her, she looked pretty good in the last pic of her.

I think that BOTH of those things aren't his fault.
he's a WORLD CLASS ATHLETE. that takes TREMENDOUS time and dedication...especially a sport like cycling..and even more...the Tour de France.
I think perhaps they BOTH may have underestimated the toll it would have on her and the relationship.
but he was riding bikes LONG before he was riding her. and that is what he DOES. that is who he IS. how can someone fault him for that.
